Dr. Arindam Basu, a Ph.D. from the University of Leeds, England, has over two decades of experience leading premier national research institutes in India. He has served as Director General of NITRA, Ghaziabad, and Director at both CSTRI, Bangalore, and SITRA, Coimbatore. He currently chairs the Textile Division Council of the Bureau of Indian Standards and the Bureau of Energy Efficiency’s Textile Industries division. A prolific researcher, Dr. Basu has authored around 25 books including three published by the Textile Institute, U.K. and published approximately 175 research papers in prestigious international and national journals. He also holds twelve patents to his name. A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of several professional bodies, including the Textile Association of India, Society of Applied Biotechnology, and Institution of Engineers (India),Dr. Basu has earned widespread recognition for his contributions to textile engineering. He was honored as an Eminent Engineer by the Institution of Engineers and received two Gold Medals for his research papers. Additionally, two of his books were awarded Best Technical Books of the Year by the Textile Association of India.
